Brenda
Lynn Samaniego, 38, a customer service representative
for American Airlines, passed away Saturday, May 27,
2006.
Born in Hudson,
N.Y., on July 5, 1967, she grew up in New Lebanon, N.Y.
She graduated from New Lebanon High School and from
Russell Sage College, where she received her travel
and tourism degree. She worked as a cook for Depot 22
in Canaan, N.Y., while attending school. She began her
airline career working for American Eagle and then for
American Airlines, both in Albany, N.Y. Later in her
American Airlines career, she transferred to Palm Beach
International Airport in Florida, Dallas headquarters
and then to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport,
where she was employed at the time of her death.
Brenda loved
to read, and her passion was Harry Potter, although
any book would satisfy her. She also loved to cook and
was a Pampered Chef consultant for the past few years.
She loved to travel and had been more places than most
of us dream about. She enjoyed playing bunco with her
neighbors. She had several amazing friends, neighbors
and co-workers, with whom she had a special relationship
with each of them. It is now that we realize just how
many lives she touched in her lifetime.
Mass of Christian
Burial was held at 2 p.m. on Friday June 2, 2006 at
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, with Father
Jim McGhee celebrant. Brenda was burried at Bourland
Cemetery in Keller.
